Metal bellows
HYDRA® metal bellows have a high compressive strength, are heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant, leak-tight, torsionally rigid and have high flexibility for axial, lateral and/or angular deformation. Metal bellows are the preferred structural element whenever a combination of these properties is required; e.g.
- As a pressure and heat-resistant seal for valve spindles in valves,
- As vacuum switching bellows in power installations,
- As a moving seal or media separator in pumps and pressure accumulators,
- As a moving, pressure and heat-resistant sealing element in modern fuel injectors and glow plugs,
- As a mechanical shaft coupling,
- As a sealing spring element in slip ring seals or
- As a leak-tight, strain-free leadthrough in container walls.
With proper design, HYDRA® metal bellows are sturdy, maintenance-free components with a high operational reliability and long service life.

Starting from individual applications, through small and medium-sized series right up to industrial-scale production parts, our engineers develop the technically and economically optimum bellows for your application and the corresponding production concept.
